Smith stymies Kemptville Midget AAA, Pembroke Midget AAA wins 4-1

Jake Smith stood on his head and made 34 saves to lead the Pembroke Midget AAA Lumber Kings to a 4-1 victory over the Kemptville Midget AAA 73s.

Pembroke Midget AAA was sparked by Will Searle, who had one goal. Searle scored 9:15 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Pembroke Midget AAA. Jordan Radford picked up the assist.

Kemptville Midget AAA was unable to stop the Lumber Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Pembroke Midget AAA eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.

Pembroke Midget AAA also got points from Radford, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Tyler Dyke, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brad Richardson also scored for Pembroke Midget AAA. More assists for Pembroke Midget AAA came via Kiefer Levasseur, Bailey McIntyre, Lawson Leclaire, Noah Maika, and Jackson Norlock, who contributed one each.

The 73s’ penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Pembroke Midget AAA power plays. Kemptville Midget AAA’s offense rang up 35 shots on the Lumber Kings’ net.

The 73s were led by John Beaton, who scored the team’s only goal. Beaton scored 10:07 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Pembroke Midget AAA. Ryan Pawlikowski provided the assist.

Pembroke Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Jacob Dioszeghy rejected 35 shots on goal for Kemptville Midget AAA. The 73s incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
