Head Scout Mitch Geerts Calls It A Career

The Hawkesbury Hawks are sad to announce that Mitch Geerts, our head scout for the past 8 seasons, has decided to step away from the game he loves so much.

“It’s a huge loss for our organization,” said Hawks’ GM Rick Dorval. “Mitch has an exceptional eye for talent, which helped us stay competitive throughout his time with the Hawks. He will be sorely missed.”

After 16 years in hockey, both as a coach and a scout, including a short stint as a scout for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Boisbriand Armada, Mitch has decided that it’s time to give some time back to his family.

The entire organization wants to thank Mitch for his years of service, and wish him nothing but the best in thee future.

Once a Hawk…Always A Hawk!
