The Hawks are extremely happy to welcome Dan Wafer as an associate coach. Dan will apply his coaching skills to the defence corps, while also handling video analysis.
Like Coach Ryan, Dan is a Northern Ontario product, who hails from Timmons. Both players played in the NOJHL for Iroquois Falls, and also crossed paths during Coach Ryan’s first year as an associate coach in Blind River during Wafer’s playing days.
Coach Leonard shares his excitement, saying, “Dan has an unparalleled love for the game of hockey, having player AAA, Junior A and in the CIS with Ryerson University. We have a shared philosophy when it comes to coaching and style of play, so our combined efforts should make it easy on the players to adapt and learn.”
Dan just moved to Hawkesbury in June with his wife Jayna and their 3 beautiful children Cole, Nolan and Kaylee.
Welcome to the Flock, Dan!
