The Hawks shutout the Nationals 6-0

The Hawkesbury Hawks' offense had a big night, peppering the Rockland Nationals with 47 shots throughout the game, to go along with Matthew Petizian's shutout. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead early in the first on a goal from Nicolas Guillemette and never looked back.

David Jankowski did his part, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Chris Smith delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Guillemette opened the scoring for the Hawks with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:30 with helpers from teammates Craig and Boivin.

In the second, Beaudin-Tougas netted a goal at 1:37 with a helper from Gasuik. Jankowski deposited a goal at 16:56 with assists from his linemates, Smith and Anderson.

Hawkesbury’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Petizian’s shutout, as he stopped all 34 of the shots he faced. Petizian’s counterpart, Storr, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 47, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (12-5-0-0).
