The Hawks shutout the Braves 4-0

The Hawkesbury Hawks' offense had a big night, peppering the Brockville Braves with 35 shots throughout the game, to go along with Matthew Petizian's shutout. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead early in the first on a goal from Colin Stevens and never looked back.

Colin Stevens did his part, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Tyler Boivin delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first period, Stevens opened the scoring for the Hawks with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:07 with helpers from his teammates Boivin and Anderson. Fournier netted a goal at 17:53 with helpers from Stevens and Jankowski.

During the second period, O’neal deposited a goal at 14:01 with assists from his linemates, Frazee and Duchesne. Boivin quickly followed with a goal at 14:48 with assists from Stevens and Anderson.

The Hawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Petizian’s shutout, as he stopped all 40 of the shots he faced. Petizian’s counterpart, Evenson, also had a big night, managing to stop 22 of 26, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (10-5-0-0).
