The Hawks defeat the Nationals 3-1

Matthew Petizian came up big, stopping 48 of 49 shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead early in the second on a goal from David Jankowski.

David Jankowski delivered for his team with 2 goals and Alec Beaudin-Tougas did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the second, Jankowski opened the scoring for Hawkesbury with a goal at 1:05 with helpers from his linemates, Gasuik and Beaudin-Tougas. Matton quickly followed with a goal at 3:00 with an assist from his defensive partner, Power. Jankowski quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:33 with helpers from Stevens and Anderson.

In the third, Beaudin-Tougas deposited a goal at 19:02 with an assist from Taillon.

The Hawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Petizian’s big night as he stopped 48 of the 49 shots he faced. Petizian’s counterpart, Roy, also had a big night, managing to stop 33 of 35, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (32-16-0-1).
