The Hawks defeat the Lumber Kings 2-0

The Hawkesbury Hawks' offense had a big night, peppering the Pembroke Lumber Kings with 31 shots throughout the game, to go along with Matthew Petizian's shutout. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead late in the second on a goal from Nicolas Elia.

During the second period, Elia opened the scoring for Hawkesbury with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:09 with a helper from Grainger.

In the third, Taillon deposited a goal at 2:34 with assists from his linemates, Marleau and Gasuik.

The Hawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Petizian’s shutout, as he stopped all 32 of the shots he faced. Petizian’s counterpart, Smith, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 31, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (2-0-0-0).
