The Hawks defeat the Grads 4-2

The Hawkesbury Hawks' offense had a big night, peppering the Navan Grads with 37 shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from David Jankowski.

Zachary Fournier did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and David Jankowski delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Locatelli ‘a’ opened the scoring for Navan with a goal at 9:18 with helpers from his teammates Mcpherson and Francis. Fournier answered for the Hawks with a goal at 18:37 with helpers from Jankowski and Stevens.

In the second, Craig netted a goal at 2:46 with assists from Anderson and Stevens. Jankowski put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:10 with helpers from Smith and Stevens. Elia deposited a goal at 17:01 with assists from Smith and Fournier. Besner ‘a’ answered for Navan with a goal at 19:17 with helpers from Reynolds and Micucci.

The Hawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Petizian’s big night as he stopped 48 of the 50 shots he faced. Petizian’s counterpart, Giacobbo, also had a big night, managing to stop 33 of 37, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (15-8-0-0).
