The Hawks defeat the Canadians 2-1

The Hawkesbury Hawks' offense had a big night, peppering the Carleton Place Canadians with 30 shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead late in the first on a goal from Michael Marleau and never looked back.

During the first period, Caza opened the scoring for Hawkesbury with a goal at 5:51 with a helper from his teammate Boivin. Marleau put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:43.

In the third, Hill finally put Carleton Place on the board with a goal at 19:34 with assists from his linemates, Breton and Cmunt.

The Hawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Petizian’s big night as he stopped 42 of the 43 shots he faced. Petizian’s counterpart, Forget, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 30, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (5-3-0-0).
