The Hawks defeat the 73's 5-3

The Hawkesbury Hawks' offense had a big night, peppering the Kemptville 73's with 38 shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Zachary Fournier.

Michael Marleau delivered for his team with 2 goals and Jeremie Lavallee contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first, Lavallee opened the scoring for Hawkesbury with a goal at 11:14 with helpers from his teammates Elia and Guillemette. Marleau deposited a goal at 13:41 with an assist from his linemate Duchesne.

During the second, Fizet netted a goal at 1:39 with helpers from Anderson and Lavallee. Fry finally put the 73’s on the board with a goal at 6:01 with assists from Thousand and Wood. Beaton scored a goal at 10:34 with a helper from Samson. Williams deposited a goal at 14:01 with assists from Frazee and Kiefer.

During the third period, Fournier answered for the Hawks with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:05 with a helper from Grainger. Marleau netted a goal at 18:21 with assists from Lavallee and Mcgrath.

Hawkesbury’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Petizian as he stopped 19 of the 22 shots he faced. Petizian’s counterpart, Fiske, also had a big night, managing to stop 33 of 38, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (4-0-0-0).
