The Hawks defeat the 73's 3-1

Peter Brooks came up big, stopping 30 of 31 shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead early in the third on a goal from Fletcher Anderson.

Chris Smith did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Fletcher Anderson contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the second period, Gasuik opened the scoring for Hawkesbury with a goal at 8:59 with helpers from his linemates, Belec and Taillon.

In the third, Anderson put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:45 with helpers from his linemates, Smith and Jankowski. Thousand finally put Kemptville on the board with a goal at 14:01 with an assist from fellow 73’s forward Meyer . Smith answered for Hawkesbury with a goal at 19:45 with assists from his linemates, Anderson and Jankowski.

The Hawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Brooks’ big night as he stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced. Brooks’ counterpart, Bond, also had a big night, managing to stop 0 of 0, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (34-20-0-3).
