The Hawks crushed the Lasers 5-2

The Hawkesbury Hawks' offense had a big night, peppering the Kanata Lasers with 34 shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Luke Grainger.

Bradley Shaw contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jaxon Camp chipped in with 2 assists.

In the first, Van Tiem opened the scoring for Kanata with a goal at 16:25 with a helper from defenseman Keon. Cote quickly followed with a goal at 17:15 with helpers from teammates Camp and Mcgrath.

During the second period, Callahan deposited a goal at 1:29. Grainger netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:21 with assists from Shaw and Camp.

In the third, Shaw put in a goal at 9:13. Gagnon answered for Kanata with a goal at 11:22 with helpers from Markhauser and Ludwig. Fournier answered for the Hawks with a goal at 18:22.

Hawkesbury’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Petizian as he stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced. Petizian’s counterpart, Carriere, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 33, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (1-0-0-0).
