Hawks’ Blue Line Adds Experience Getting Max Fortin From Milton (OJHL)

Experience is something of a hot commodity in defensemen, so earlier today, the Hawkesbury Hawks pulled the trigger on a trade to bring over Mamime Fortin from the Milton Ice Hawks of the OJHL.

Fortin has 2 years of experience playing Junior hockey, and is the force on the back end Hawkesbury has been looking for.

“At 6′ 1″ tall, Maxime’s rugged style of play is something we’ve been looking for,” said Hawks’ GM Rick Dorval. “With 2 years of experience under his belt at the Junior level already, Max will bring veteran leadership to our younger defenceman.”

With 76 minutes in penalties last season in Milton, Fortin is no stranger to battling in the trenches and isn’t afraid to engage the opposition in front of his net.

The Hawks welcome Maxime to the Hawks Nest, and wish him the best of luck in 2017-2018.
