Dovar Tinling will represent his country at the World Under 17 Tournament in Medicine Hat and Swift Current.

When Dovar came to the Hawks, everyone knew he was a special player, and Hockey Canada recognised his talent by selecting him to represent his country at the World U17 hockey challenge set for Nov. 2-9 in Medicine Hat, Alta., and Swift Current, Sask. He will be one of only 3 JrA players representing Team Canada.

“Adding Dovar mid August was a big boost on and off the ice. His work ethic in practice as a 16 year old is exemplary and he leads with his work ethic. He will represent Team Canada well.” said Rick Dorval, GM and Head Coach of the Hawkesbury Hawks

There are 3 Team Canada teams, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden and the United States who will face each other during this tournament. This is a great opportunity for Dovar to give himself exposure to Div 1 NCAA schools and NHL scouts.

The entire Hawks organisation and CCHL wish the best of luck to Dovar. Bring back the gold!
