2022-2023 Hawkesbury Hawks Open Camp – June24 to 26th, 2022

The Hawkesbury Hawks would like to send you and your family all the best in health and wellness as we all navigate another pandemic spring. We know that you are excited to get back on the ice once again as are we!

As such we are looking forward. The Hawkesbury Hawks Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club to invite you to participate in the Hawks’ 2022 Open Camp on June 24th & 26th, 2022 at Richcraft Sensplex in Gloucester, Ontario.  This event will play a crucial part in our roster composition for the upcoming season.

The Hawks are part of the Central Canada Hockey League, and plays throughout the Ottawa region.  The league is heavily scouted by the NHL, NCAA Division I and III schools from the United States, Canadian Universities and Major Junior hockey.  To further expose our players, we have several league promotions such as our CCHL Showcase, CCHL All-Star Game, and the CJHL Prospects Game. Our players will also be eligible for selection to Team Canada East and participate in the 2022 World Junior ‘A’ Hockey Challenge in December.

In recent years, Daniel Brickley (currently playing in the AHL) attended camp as a player that no one within the organization knew and managed to win himself a spot on our team.  Today, we are proud to add him to a long list of Hawkesbury Hawks alumni.

All this to say, the opportunity is yours to take!

For the 2022-23 season the Hawks are looking to fill 8 forward positions, 3 defence positions and 1 goalie position.  We anticipate making most of our roster decisions, especially on out-of-town players during this camp.  Every player will play 4 games (6 hours of ice) and a camp jersey.  The cost of this year’s camp is $300+HST ($339).  This camp is geared towards players with birth years 2002-2006. Players with birth year 2007 are by invite only.

The strength of our organization begins with the tutelage of Head Coach and General Manager Rick Dorval, last season’s CCHL Head Coach and GM of the Year. Coach Dorval’s commitment to excellence and ability to develop players for the next level are why the Hawkesbury Hawks are one of the most sought after destinations for aspiring Junior hockey players

Budding hockey stars and their parents are proud to be part of what we affectionately call “The Flock”, and we are sure that when you join our organization, you’ll feel no different.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, circumstances can change with little notice. Our camp will proceed subject to Government Covid 19 policy. If the camp is cancelled or postponed, we will provide you the choice of a full refund of the registration cost of this event or given a credit towards future Hawks camps or programs.  We will not refund or provide credit if the Camp goes on as scheduled on June 24th to the 26th unless you have a medical note for an injury indicating you cannot participate.
