The Hawks shutout the Raiders 3-0

Peter Brooks posted a shutout, stopping all 24 of the Nepean Raiders shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Matt Gasuik and never looked back.

Matt Gasuik delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jeremy Cote had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Gasuik opened the scoring for Hawkesbury with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:23 with helpers from his linemates, Marleau and Cote.

In the second, Cote put in a goal at 8:10 with assists from his linemates, Beaudin-Tougas and Gasuik. Jankowski deposited a goal at 11:26 with a helper from fellow Hawks forward Fournier.

Hawkesbury’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Brooks’ shutout, as he stopped all 24 of the shots he faced. Brooks’ counterpart, Souliere, also had a big night, managing to stop 39 of 42, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (27-16-0-1).
