The Hawks fall to the Lumber Kings 5-3

Chris Cuglietta came up big, stopping 5 of 9 shots throughout the game. The Pembroke Lumber Kings took the lead early in the second on a goal from Matthew Walilko.

Colin Stevens delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Matt Gasuik had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 assists. Jacob Kamps contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Matthew Barnaby chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Beaudin-Tougas opened the scoring for Hawkesbury with a goal at 2:33 with a helper from Gasuik. Emoff quickly followed with a goal at 3:02 with helpers from his linemates, Barnaby and Browne. Kamps put in a goal at 14:02 with an assist from Browne.

During the second, Stevens answered for the Hawks with a goal at 1:59 with a helper from his teammate Gasuik. Barnaby quickly followed with a goal at 3:21 with assists from Douglas and Kamps. Walilko quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:26 with helpers from Rowland and Vroman. Browne put in a goal at 8:26 with an assist from his teammate Emoff.

In the third period, Anderson answered for Hawkesbury with a goal at 2:29 with a helper from defenseman Stevens.

This loss brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (12-6-0-0).
