The Hawks defeat the Grads 3-1

Peter Brooks came up big, stopping 29 of 30 shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead early in the third on a goal from David Jankowski.

Chris Smith had a busy night with 2 assists.

In the first, Trudel opened the scoring for the Grads with a goal at 15:12 with helpers from Chartrand and Kuhl.

In the second, Boivin finally put Hawkesbury on the board with a goal at 13:39 with an assist from fellow Hawks forward Smith.

During the third period, Jankowski scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:31 with helpers from his linemates, Smith and Fournier. Belec deposited a goal at 6:26 with assists from his linemates, Duchesne and Marleau.

The Hawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Brooks’ big night as he stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced. Brooks’ counterpart, Giacobbo, also had a big night, managing to stop 44 of 47, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (26-16-0-1).
