The Hawks crushed the 73's 5-1

The Hawkesbury Hawks' offense had a big night, peppering the Kemptville 73's with 47 shots throughout the game. The Hawkesbury Hawks took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Kieran Craig.

Kari Belec delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jeremy Cote did his part, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the second period, Cote opened the scoring for Hawkesbury with a goal at 4:17 with helpers from his teammates Nantais and Fournier. Craig deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:31 with helpers from his linemates, Jankowski and Fournier. Hunter finally put the 73’s on the board with a goal at 13:29 with assists from Daskas and Williams.

During the third, Nantais answered for the Hawks with a goal at 5:05 with assists from Belec and Marleau. Belec netted a goal at 14:27 with helpers from his linemates, Cote and Beaudin-Tougas. Beaudin-Tougas scored a goal at 18:20 with helpers from his linemates, Cote and Gasuik.

The Hawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Brooks as he stopped 18 of the 19 shots he faced. Brooks’ counterpart, Bond, also had a big night, managing to stop 42 of 47, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Hawkesbury Hawks’ record to (28-16-0-1).
