The Hawkesbury Hawks are thrilled to announce the return of star forward David Jankowski.
David will serve as the Hawks’ captain for the 2017-2018.
Jankowski arrived in Hawkesbury early in the 2016-17 season and was a key to the offense success . David not only averaged a point per game in the regular season, but also in the playoffs.
Coach and GM Rick Dorval commented “Our decision to select David to be the captain of this team was not only because he will be one of the leagues most feared forwards, but because of his outstanding leadership ability. During last season’s playoffs, he played with a separated shoulder, never once complained, and still put up numbers. He always spent his free time working at his game on and off the ice. That is what we want our younger guys looking up to.”
With his shoulder now fully recovered and David adding weight and muscle to his body, he should once gain be a driving force in the Hawks’ offense and we are excited to see him back in a Hawks uniform.
