HAWKS ACTIVE AT 2010 TRADE DEADLINE
January 10th, 2010

The Hawkesbury Hawks were involved in three trades on Sunday.  To start off, the organization sent forward Joel Sénécal to the Ottawa Senators along with a second round draft pick in exchange for forward Ronnie Brohman and future considerations.  The transaction was followed by Captain Vince Perreault's move to the Kemptville 73's along with a third round draft pick in exchange for a first round pick in 2010. 

Finally, in a three way trade, the Hawks sent defensemen Jonatan Burroughs and Sébastien Dubus to Pembroke with a third round pick in 2011 in exchange for defensemen Craig Myeroff and Jeremy Melbye.  The Hawks also received the Lumber Kings first choice in the 2010 draft.  The Lumber Kings immediately sent Burroughs and Dubus to the Cumberland Grads to obtain the services of big bodied defenceman Stephen Farrell. 

The new players will be in uniform Tuesday evening when the Hawks visit the Kemptville 73's.  The Hawks welcome Ronnie, Craig and Jeremy to the organization and wish the best of luck to Joel, Jonatan, Vince and Sébastien.

BENJAMIN IWANOWSKI TRADED TO THE GLOUCESTER RANGERS

The Hawkesbury Hawks traded defenceman Benjamin Iwanowski along with the playing rights of defenceman René Lamoureux to the Gloucester Rangers in exchange for defenceman Sébastien Dubus, forward Julien Quincou and a third round pick in the 2011 draft.  The Hawks wish Benjamin the best of luck with his new team and would like to welcome Sébastien and Julien to the team.

GABRIEL PARENT TRADED TO THE KANATA STALLIONS

The Hawkesbury Hawks traded forward Gabriel Parent to the Kanata Stallions in exchange for forward Jordan Warren and a second round draft choice in 2011.  The Hawks organization would like to welcome Jordan to the team and thank Gabriel for his valuable time with the Hawks.
HAWKS TRADE PATRICK HARRISON TO THE SENATORS

The Hawkesbury Hawks traded defenseman Patrick Harrison to the Ottawa Junior Senators in exchange for Benjamin Robillard and second round draft choices in 2010 and 2011.  Robillard was the Senators’ first pick in this years’ CJHL draft and should be a regular with the Hawks next season.  However, it will not be a surprise if he sees some action this year.  Harrison played in all eight games this season with the Hawks and registering one goal and five assists.  The Hawks are pleased with the acquisition of Benjamin and wish Patrick the best of luck with his new team.
LAST MINUTE TRANSACTIONS BEFORE THE START OF THE SEASON

The Hawkesbury Hawks completed two more transactions on the weekend.  They first traded 17 year old rearguard Ian Lavigne to the Cornwall Colts in exchange for 19 year old defenceman Robert Guay.  The Hawks in turn sent Guay and 19 year old forward Alex Porrier to the North Bay Trappers of the NOJHL for 19 year old right winger Joël Sénécal. Sénécal, who had a stint in the QMJHL, racked up 37 points in 25 games las season with the Trappers.  The Hawks would like to thank Ian and Alex for their time with the team and along with Robert, wish them the with their new teams.
FINE TUNING BEFORE SEASON KICK-OFF

The Hawkesbury Hawks made two transactions on Friday to tweak the line-up as they move closer to the season start.  Right winger Yannick Geoffrey was moved to the College Français de Longueuil of the QJAAAHL for future considerations and forward Louis-Philippe Boucher was acquired from the Penticton Vees of the BCHL in exchange for the playing rights of left winger Jean-Christophe Lirette. Boucher will see action with the Hawks on Monday evening when the team travels to Cornwall for their last exhibition game of the pre-season against the Colts.
DEFENCEMAN JAMES WATSON TRADED TO THE NEPEAN RAIDERS

The Hawkesbury Hawks completed their second transaction in less than a month, sending 17 year old defenceman James Watson to the Nepean Raiders in exchange for a second round draft pick in 2010.
TYSON SPINK TRADED TO CORNWALL FOR PATRICK HARRISON
July 16th, 2009
Tyson Spink, the Hawks' first pick in the last CJHL draft, traded to the Cornwall Colts in exchange for defenceman Patrick Harrison, a third round pick in 2010 and a first round selection in 2011.
