Before joining Robert Morris University, Josh spent three seasons with the Hawkesbury Hawks, in 2007-08 was the CJHL Defensive Player of the Year and a member of the CJHL All-Star Second Team...  Was also the top scoring defenseman in the league totaling 13 goals and 45 assists...  In 2006-07, scored five goals and tallied 16 assists.

Prior to playing for Hawkesbury, Josh played two seasons with the Junior B Pittsburg Pens Empire team. Jones is known for his smooth effortless skating, and his smart decision-making.
