Alex Armstrong Joins The Hawks As Assistant Coach

The Hawks are proud to add former head coach of the OJHL’s Trenton Sting (now Golden Hawks), Alex Armstrong, to their coaching staff.

Armstrong is no stranger to the Central Canada Hockey League, having served as an assistant coach with the 1998 Fred Page Champion Brockville Braves, also appearing at the 1998 RBC Cup, and remained with the team until 1999.

“I am honoured to join such a historic franchise and prestige league,” said Armstrong.  “Team owner Mr Landers has put a good hockey mind in charge. Rick has a great track record everywhere he has been. Lou Nistico has been in the league for a long time and also does a tremendous job. I am excited to get started and looking forward to having a successful year.”

The Hawks kick off their season at the CCHL Showcase on Labour Day weekend at the Bell Sensplex in Kanata, before their home opener on Friday, September 8th at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex at 7:30 PM.
